Fun with Greg and Sarah

Greg and Sarah drove down from Indy to visit us the week after Easter and were able to stay for a whole week.  We had an awesome seven days together, even though Steven was in the field the entire time.  Booo...oh well, that's the Army, you just can't plan!  We filled our time with sightseeing in Savannah, Captain Mike's Dolphin Tour, a day at Jekyll Island, shopping and crafting!  My sweet sister-in-law is pregnant with their first child, my first niece or nephew (yay!!) and it was so great to see her precious little baby belly!  She looks great and is feeling pretty good...can't wait to meet baby Dowling around Aug. 17th!

James loved all the extra attention these last two weeks, and Greg came with some fun ideas for his car track.  He set it up on the stairs and James had a blast!  Greg, unfortunately, then got asked to "play cars"  about 700 times!  Welcome to my life, Greg.  Cars, cars, cars, choo choos, cars, air planes, cars and more cars...all day, every day.  Greg's face in the last picture sums up his feelings about "cars" by the end of the week.  Maybe he'll get a girl and all she'll want to play is Barbies!  hahaa!

Thanks so much for spending your vacation with us, Greg and Sarah!  We had such a great time, and can't wait to see you again soon!  love you!

Making some serious wishes....

 Please PLEASE...no more cars!!

Spring Break

My parents drove down on their spring break to spend the week with us, and we had such a wonderful time!  We went to the Mighty 8 Air Force museum, Tybee Island, downtown Savannah, the Jacksonville Zoo, and spent some time around the house playing, planting flowers and enjoying each other's company.  It was quite a perfect week!  We wished we lived closer, but we're thankful for the time we do get to spend together.  Love you, Mom and Dad.

This elephant was sucking up water, spraying it into the dirt, using his foot to make mud, then sucking that up and spraying the mud on himself.  Quite smart and exciting to watch!

Grandma and Grandpa brought James an Easter basket full of goodies, then he enjoyed an exciting egg hunt!  So much fun!

 He loved the chocolate...

Had a wonderful time, love you!
