Dedicated to Jesus!

On Father's Day there was a baby dedication ceremony at our church.  Pastor Scott and the elders of the church prayed for each of us individually, that we as parents would have the wisdom to teach James to love Jesus, raise him in a Christian home, and have courage to make it through the challenges parenthood brings!  They also prayed that as a military family, we'd have strength to get through deployments and times when we're not together as a family, that our faith would stay at the forefront of our lives and keep us united as a strong family.
Thanks Gateway Christian Church for your love and support!  Keep praying for us that we'll be good parents, keep our focus on Jesus, and make the right decisions for Steven James.

Fly Fly Away

Our little birdies have come and gone.  They grew fast, learned how to fly overnight it seemed, and are now on to another adventure.  I was starting to enjoy hearing the nonstop chirping :-)  I think I might miss them.

Impromptu Photo Shoot

Two weeks ago I had a doc's appt and Erin kindly watched James for me.  She snapped a couple of pictures with her awesome camera skills and I'm passing along the fun!  Thanks so much!

Grandma Sue Visit

Grandma Sue came to visit us last week and we had such a great time.  We didn't have a very full schedule or anything, just enjoyed playing with James.  We did go to the pool and made some baby food...James is a serious eater....loves just about everything!  We miss you already, Grandma, come back soon!

James loves to read books and Grandma Sue brought him some really fun ones!
He LOVES his exersaucer and tries to do pull-ups on this thing.  He has so much fun!

Tweet Tweet

We discovered this happy little nest in the holly tree right next to the house after the mamma bird took a swooping killer dive at Steven one morning when he was walking down the sidewalk!  We kept seeing this bird hanging around our front yard, and after the protective behavior we figured there had to be a nest somewhere.  Whenever I check the nest, Mamma is in there warming the eggs...they haven't hatched yet!  I'll keep you posted when they do.  In the meantime, I need to figure out what kind of birds they are.

I had a hard time getting a clear picture of the nest because it's pretty high up, and I couldn't get a good angle.  You get the picture...

Splish Splash!

James loves the water, whether it's the bathtub or the blue tub outside!  Everything is getting to be so fun with him.  He laughs and giggles at everything and although I have a hard time catching his adorable smile on camera, he's definitely a happy baby!

Splash Park

Fort Campbell has this super fun splash park for kids that's absolutely free!  It's located just inside gate 5...conveniently (for the mom's) behind the Starbucks!  James and I had a fun little outing last week with Erin, Daniel and Claire,  Amy and her kids Allison and Jacob,  and Holly and her boys!   James wasn't too pumped when i stuck his feet in the fountains, but I'm sure in another year he'll be all about it!  It's just nice to get together with friends and enjoy this Tennessee weather.

What a little stud...sitting up all by himself!

This is one of Holly's boys (Dillon, I think), he was so cute with James....tickling and talking to him, it was adorable!

Claire was all about the splash park, running through the fountains and having a blast.  Amy's kids, Jacob and Ally, are in the background of this pic.  All of them are so sweet!
